Hotel Goldener Löwe in Solingen

The owner was very friendly, the rooms are clean and the mattresses are excellent. The breakfast was plentiful and I responded to my gluten intolerance with delicious rolls (gluten-free). If I ever come back to this area I would stay here again.

Top price-performance ratio and delicious, decent portion for lunch at an affordable price. We would love to come back!

Excellent quality of the food. Execution of the orders always depends on the customer volume, but is bearable. Menu is not overloaded and well thought out. Ambience is not particularly appealing, but clean and well-kept. In the morning, an average breakfast is served for hotel guests, as in many other hotels, not worse or better. Prices are not overpriced, the staff are polite and attentive. The kitchen is recommended😘

Small hotel near the center. Building quite old, rooms newly renovated and clean, furniture but showing its age, albeit ok. Cabinet is stuck, TV is very small by today's standards. The bathroom was newly renovated, but with many small inadequacies: no towel holder on the sink, no shelf in the shower, no toilet paper holder, no toothbrush tumbler. Strange for a 3 star hotel. The mattress is good, Tempur or something like that. Cover for a lamp on the bed was missing, which poses a certain risk because of the open socket. The restaurant has only been closed for lunch and in the evening since the beginning of 2020. But there are plenty of alternatives not far away. Endless shopping opportunities nearby. Price-performance ratio is certainly okay, but the small imperfections should be remedied urgently. Lady at the front desk was very friendly.

Small rooms but price fits

So far, were only for steak eating on site and that .. well - CAN. Delicious.

Unfortunately on the third floor a very small room full of furniture. The ventilation does not work in the bathroom without a window, so you soon suffocate when showering. The towel holder was torn out of the wall and there were only frayed holes, so you had to look where to put your wet towel. Unfortunately no hair dryer either. Breakfast was okay. The staff very friendly. For the high room price, however, I have seen better

Price and performance absolutely fine. The service is very friendly. Everything is freshly made and cooked. You don't think so, but it was a very tasty lunch. We would love to come back.

Price / performance ratio in this hotel is unfortunately not at all consistent. We had to switch to this hotel for one night over the Christmas period. Everything is narrow and dark, the room furnishings have had their best days behind them and the double bed booked was two single beds. The “slatted frame” consisted of simple wooden boards and you can't say anything positive about the mattresses - thin, saggy, absolutely uncomfortable. Unfortunately, sleep was out of the question because everything hurt. The bathroom, however, was newly made and clean. Breakfast was ok. The biggest problem, however, was that the cat hair allergy broke out in the room because something had apparently come into contact with cat hair - an absolute no-go! There was also an old cat tree in front of the entrance, which should probably be disposed of. We were guests there for the first and last time.

Cozy centrally located hotel with bright, simply furnished rooms and extremely accommodating hosts. 🤗 We celebrated my husband's sixtieth birthday there. The food was excellent all inclusive and the service is very friendly and attentive. 👍 The breakfast is very rich We can recommend the hotel in addition to catering with a clear conscience.🤩 ♥ ️

Clean and tidy the staff very friendly. The prices are very high but you can negotiate if you are good. Elevator very tight with 4 people totally crowded so squeezed.

A little stale decor, but the offered dishes are so much better, to very good. And a very attentive staff. This restaurant can be recommended.

The restaurant in the house is highly recommended. Are often and gladly here with good food and always friendly service.

Bright friendly rooms and a nice bathroom (everything looks freshly renovated)! Clean and comfortable! Friendly service and good breakfast (fried eggs, scrambled eggs, salmon, fruit etc.)! Is very centrally located and within walking distance are several good restaurants z. B. Fasil (Turkish cuisine) reachable!
